Coincidence Or The Full Dental Experience?...

Last weekend I decided the pain was more then I could bare and I called my endodontist to do emergency treatment on me. It ended up costing me about three hundred dollars more but there was no way I could have waited a week. It turned out to be a good decision, the pain was severely cut back and I got to know my dentist pretty well. When I went back in to have my full root canal done on Tuesday he just happened to see the wee spot on my chart where I had written my job occupation : dental assistant. He flipped. He asked me who I currently worked for and when I informed him that I was looking for a practice he started grilling me. Apparently he liked the answers because his dental assistant immediately e-mailed the head assistant at their other practice in a near by town. I can only suppose they said good things about me because on Wednesday I was interviewed and hired. I went in today and worked from 7:30 AM to about 5 PM. Today was a short day. The practice is wonderful, busy, and it is full of great people. The dentists are all very considerate of both the patients and their assistants, and will do what ever it takes to be the best in their field. One of the dentists, Dr.J actually travels the world to hold endodontic lectures. Needless to say I love my job.

Weather is doing well in speech therapy and hopefully will keep progressing. He's cute as a bug, of course, and will be spending this week in Louisiana with my in-laws.

Well...on that note I have too many things to do and very little time.

I can not access my comments and have not been able to do so for about three weeks. I need to do something about this but until I do I don't want anyone to think I'm ignoring them. I'll let you know when I get it figured out.

All Drugged Up...

There have been a lot of things I've wanted to post about this week, and if I hadn't been in such pain I'm sure I would have. At the moment I'm alright...I'm on I'm pretty damn alright. I have an abcessed tooth. I need a root canal. It sucks. A lot! the moment I'm fgeelin okay. Just thought you'd all like to know the reason for my delayed posting. I'm sure this is making less sense then I think it is so I'm just going to go.

Great Weekend, Stupid Storm...

Well, last weekend was awesome. Butterfly, my little brother spent the holiday with us, as did the Valley Princess. It was a three day weekend filled with swimming, shopping, going to the gym, and going for walks. As well as game playing and some mean enchilada cooking by yours truly. The Musician and I haven't had a weekend that fun in god knows how long. It was really nice to have everyone here and all of us having such a good time. I'm personally hoping that Valley Princess is going to move back from Kansas...but we'll see how it goes. Butterfly is with our parents this weekend, and I'm sure he's going to enjoy what ever it is they have planned, and then he's going to be heading back to Nevada. It's been a nice visit.

The Musician and I were planning on going camping with Weather, Bronco Cub, and Midnight this weekend at Petit Jean state park. The lake and camp sites there are beautiful, and they have great boat rentals for fishing. We've really been looking forward to it but it looks like we're going to be disappointed...according to the weather channel at least. Yeah, it's suppose to rain like a bitch this weekend. I hate it when plans get screwed with, even if it's nature that's doing the screwing. So if we do get rained out, which I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it will hold off so we can do our thing and have our fun, then we're probably all just going to hang out. Maybe Muse will bar-b-que something. Either way I'd like to take Weather to a matinee of Madagascar some time this weekend. Most likely it will be on Saturday before we leave, god willing. It will be the first movie we've ever taken him to.

Speaking of movies, we saw Star Wars III the other night, and I was happily surprised. I liked it, we both really liked it, that's what surprised me. What also surprised me was Jimmy Smitts...he walked on screen and I grabbed Muse by the arm and said "Oh, my God! It's Bobby!" Some strange part of me was thrilled by his presence in the movie, the strange balling my eyes out at NYPD Blue part. But Jimmy aside, I still really liked the movie.

Hillbilly update...
We have little ponds all over our apartment complex with pretty little fountains in them, and apparently water moccasins, turtles, frogs, Yes, the hillbillies have decided to start fishing the ponds. I need to explain how horribly tacky this is? Damn Rednecks. Poor little crappie being disturbed, caught, and cooked by rednecks. I think I hate these people.

Tire Trouble...

Yesterday Muse woke me up to tell me we had a flat and he couldn't find the lug wrench. This turns out to mean he has to catch a ride in to work and I have to deal with the tire. Well, I called my parents to see if my dad was in town and if he had a lug wrench on him. Luckily he was in town and he did have the tools of the trade. He came over and he and my little brother went out to the car to fix the flat. My mom and I meanwhile sat in the living room and visited. All would have been good there had our spare not been flat as well. (sigh) My dad took both tires and got them aired up for me leaving the car in my capable 'take it to a pro and get a new tire' hands, and they went on their way to do the things necessary to run a dog kennel. I on the other hand had a time. Getting that damn tire fixed took forever. I swear everyone in town who needed car work done had it done yesterday between 1 and 3...I know because I was the one person at the end of the 2 hour wait. I finally got it done, but the wait did suck. Oh, and the lug wrench Muse couldn't find was next to the flat spare in the trunk.

As previously mentioned my little brother made it in to town. We flew him in as a surprise for the parents birthdays. I think we almost gave our dad a heart attack. They're all coming over for dinner tonight. I've been marinating this chicken in a special marinade that I make for two days now. This should turn out to be a meal that knocks the hell out of them. I even made a cake for desert.

Goddamn, I'm tired. Later.

The Musician and I have been trying to make plans for the weekend all week. Now Friday is upon us and we still don't have definite sucks. At first I was trying to get him to go down to the big easy, but we just don't have the proper amount of time. Then we thought that camping would be a great idea...but he doesn't want to go to the lake I want to go to. So we decided that we'd drive around this weekend and pick a campsite on the Beaver Lake we both like. But we also want to go fishing, so I've been checking out the marinas at Beaver Lake and I think I've finally found a good one. I think we're going to drive up there and check out the marina and maybe go fishing. I'll be interested to see how Weather handles it if we do. We're getting him this cute little kids fishing pole set, I hope he has fun. So fishing...maybe, depending on the boats and marina. Oh, and then we realized...we need to go shopping. Shopping's a definite. So maybe fishing and shopping...what a combo. I don't know what ever happens...happens, at least this weekend will prove to be interesting. We are not the type of people to waste our lives away just hanging about the house and since it's now summer fishing and camping time have come around again. Personally I want to go kayaking down Cane Creek, but I don't think Weather will be able to make that trip. I don't see him as one for least not yet.

I had another job interview yesterday...but it wasn't like the usual job interview. It was unusual because the interviewers never showed up. I waited for an hour in the car outside of the office with out any one showing up. All that was ever there was a note on the door saying they would be back shortly, and a giant thrown lock. So I finally just left a note of my own and drove myself back home. I told Muse about it later and he agreed with me that I didn't need to even interview for a place that shows so little regard for people.

My brother is flying in next week on the same day Muse and Agent Five cut their demo, then the first weekend of June my biological father and my little sister are flying in from Seattle. So I'm going to have company visiting for awhile. Hopefully I'll be able to post more frequently...but I doubt it, I'm going to be very busy.

God I'm sleeping has been all screwed up.

Did any one see the CSI finally last night? Man, I feel so bad for poor Nick. The fire ant thing really got to me. The only thing that could have made it worse for me is if it had been spiders. I can't handle spiders, I would have had to change the channel.

Wow...Weather just dumped out a bottle of water in the kitchen. Sigh...

Hard Hat Harry...

My in-laws just left town, I love my in-laws, but it seems like they've been at my house since they arrived. The Musician just graduated, finally got his associates degree in civil drafting, so in celebration his parents came to visit. They also brought him a ipod as a graduation present. Muse decided this weekend that he's going to go back to school and get his bachelor's in civil engineering. I'm really proud of him for making this decision.

While my in-laws were here they stole my's what they do...and they took him to buy something called the Hard Hat Harry DVD box set. Do any of you know what Hard Hat Harry is? It's these shows on different types of vehicles, like farm equipment, or race cars, but it's for kids. And the host is a genie! OOOOOOoooooH!!!! I think I hate them. Weather, naturally loves them. He wants to watch them all the time. I've decided he needs a dvd player in his own room. He needs one in there today.

Well, the great news of my month is Weather is almost completely potty trained! I'm very excited about this. And unless you have kids you'll never understand exactly how exciting this is for us here.

We drove down to the fort to visit friends we haven't seen for some time. As much as I hate the fort it was really nice visiting everyone.

Well I have a little boy being odd on my lap and he needs to get ready for his speech therapy session today.

Quiz It...

Caring soul
Your soul is caring.
Other people are your concern, even if you
don't know them. If you see a person trip you
worry is he is okay. You put your loved ones
first and you're very mature. When someones
sick you're nurturing and always try to help
family and friends when failure strikes them.
You can be called the motherly one, if you are
in a group of people, which doesn't have to be
bad. Love is something that's already in you
and you have a lot to give whether you believe
it or not. Your friends probably love you very
much and come to when they need help since
you're reliable. People can feel secure with
you and generally like you.
